Gadchiroli police seize Rs 1.25 cr worth of Ganja in major anti-smuggling operation

Gadchiroli, Nov 14 (UNI) The Gadchiroli Police have seized 239.66 kg of ganja valued at approximately Rs 1.19 crore, arresting one suspect during a raid near Huryāldand village in Kurkheda subdivision of Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district, a senior official said.
According to the official, the operation was conducted by the Local Crime Branch following intelligence that large-scale ganja cultivation was underway near the residence of Krishna Harsing Boga, 41, of Huryāldand.
A special team, accompanied by local panch witnesses, searched the premises and discovered a field behind the accused’s house containing mature cannabis plants with leaves, buds and seeds. The crop was uprooted, weighed on the spot and seized as evidence.
