Two new stations in Pune Metro Phase 2, State Govt approves additional expenditure

Mumbai, Sept 3 (UNI) The State Cabinet has approved the proposal to construct two new stations on the extended route of the Pune Metro Rail Project Phase-2, from Swargate to Katraj.
These two metro stations will be built at Balajinagar and Bibwewadi, and an additional expenditure of Rs 683.11 crore has been sanctioned in principle for the same.
“The decision to add these two stations on the extended corridor of Phase-2 will make metro travel more convenient for residents of South Pune and will help significantly reduce traffic congestion,” said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
