Universities must uphold constitutional morality: Justice Revati Mohite Dere.

Pune, Jan 21 (UNI) Revati Mohite Dere, Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court observed that Universities are not just centres of academic learning, but are spaces where constitutional morality, equality and justice are nurtured. She said this during her visit to Symbiosis International University Pune campus on Wednesday. Senior advocate and former Member of Parliament Vandana Chavan, also visited the Symbiosis campus.
During the visit, Justice Dere interacted with Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis and Chancellor of Symbiosis International University, along with Directors and senior leadership of various Symbiosis institutions.
Addressing the gathering, Justice Dere lauded Symbiosis for its contribution to higher education and nation-building, and stressed the pivotal role of universities in strengthening constitutional values. 'Universities are not just centres of academic learning; they are spaces where constitutional morality, equality and justice must be actively nurtured', Justice Dere said.
