Maha: ITI students get lessons in disaster management amid border tensions

Mumbai, May 8 (UNI) Amidst growing tension on the India-Pakistan border after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir, a two-day camp has been organised for thousands of students in the state who are being taught disaster management lessons in collaboration with the Skill Development Department and Aniruddha's Academy of Disaster Management.
This camp was inaugurated on Thursday at the Rajmata Jijau Industrial Training Institute in Thane by Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha.
Disaster management workshops will be held online in all industrial training centres in the state.

Thane, Nov 18 (UNI) Thane district has launched an extensive leprosy screening programme as part of a major initiative to eliminate disease transmission, with health teams beginning door-to-door surveys on November 17. The campaign, which will run until December 2, is a coordinated effort between the central and state health departments to achieve the national goal of zero leprosy transmission by 2027.
