Mumbai court asks hospital to conduct test to determine accused age in murder case

Mumbai May 10 (UNI) A sessions court here has asked the dean of government-run Sir JJ Hospital to form a committee or board to conduct an ossification test of an accused booked for allegedly murdering a vice- president of HDFC Bank in 2018, a lawyer said here on Saturday.
Additional sessions judge AA Joglekar passed an order after the accused Saefafraz Shaikh moved the court stating that he was a minor at the time of the crime in 2018.
Over the past few months, the court has been conducting an inquiry into evidence available to ascertain whether the man was below 18 years of age when the crime took place.

Maha: NGO moves HC seeking action on meat shop within 10 km of airport

Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) Akhil Bharat Krishi Go Seva Sangh, an animal rights group founded by
Mahatma Gandhi, has filed a petition at the Bombay High Court seeking a court's nod to enforce aviation rules that prohibit illegal slaughter-houses, meat, poultry, and fish shops and non-vegetarian municipal markets operating within a radius of 10 kms from the city’s airports.

Maha govt approves Rs 2 36 crore as diesel reimbursement subsidy for fishing boat owners of Sindhudurg
