BJP Advises Restraint to Maharashtra Leaders Amid Strained Ties with Shinde Sena.

Mumbai, Nov 27 (UNI) Amid a growing rift between the Mahayuti allies Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Eknath Shinde–led Shiv Sena over allegations of political poaching, party sources disclosed on Thursday that the BJP’s central leadership has advised its Maharashtra leaders to maintain restraint.
The directive suggests that the party may adopt a cautious “wait and watch” approach until the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections are announced.
In the run-up to local body polls, the BJP has been accused by the Shinde Sena of engineering defections at various levels, including attempts to pull away municipal chairperson candidates and even district-level office-bearers. These aggressive moves have reportedly triggered internal unrest within the Shinde camp. Even though Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently returned from consultations in Delhi, the series of defections and alleged attempts to lure leaders show no signs of slowing down.
