MNS support Sena (Shinde) in KDMC for Mayor Election, Sena (UBT) and BJP stunned

Mumbai, Jan 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Wednesday extended support to the Shiv Sena led by Deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde in the neighbouring Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), strengthening its position to stake claim to the Mayor's post.
The move, coming days after the Raj Thackeray-led party contested the civic elections against the ruling Mahayut including the Shiv Sena in Kalyan-Dombivli, has also raised questions over the durability of its alliance with the Shiv Sena (UBT) across Maharashtra, and over whether it was a bid to keep the BJP out of power in the civic body.
The MNS decision to back the Shinde-led Sena has stunned not only the BJP, but also Uddhav Thackeray, chief of the Shiv Sena (UBT).

Gadchiroli to be developed as India’s Green Steel Hub: Fadnavis

Nagpur, Feb 6 (UNI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha will soon shed its troubled identity and emerge as the “Green Steel Hub of India.”
