Mumbai braces for Sunday rail disruptions over scheduled maintenance blocks

Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) Mumbai's suburban rail network faces significant service alterations this Sunday due to scheduled mega maintenance blocks announced by Central Railway and Western Railway. Passengers are advised to plan journeys accordingly.
Central Railway will implement a crucial infrastructure block impacting services between Thane and Vidyavihar on its crucial fifth and sixth lines. The block on the fifth line commences at 8:30 am and concludes at 1:30 pm. Simultaneously, the sixth line will be under maintenance from 8am until 1pm.
Further compounding Sunday travel challenges, Central Railway will also execute a block on both the UP and DOWN Harbour lines connecting Kurla and Vashi. This disruption is slated to occur between 11:10 am and 4:10 pm. The railway administration formally announced these schedules via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
