Society will change if men and women's attitude toward women change : Rupali Chakankar

Kolhapur, Jan 23 (UNI) Maharashtra State Women's Commission Chairperson Rupali Chakankar asserted on Friday that society will truly change if men's attitude towards women and women's behavior towards women also change.
Chakankar, while addressing a one-day workshop titled 'Saksham: Empowering Women through Awareness of Women's Laws and Eradication of Superstitions' at Shivaji University, said that the fight for women's rights is being fought in every corner of the state. While it is largely understood that if the mentality of men changes, society will change, she said that it is also true that women themselves are also involved in denying the rights to fellow women.
The event was organised by the Internal Complaints Committee of the University in association with Maharashtra State Women's Commission and Beti Bachao Abhiyan .
