Bangladesh: Consignment of 2,450 tons of Indian rice arrives at Darshana Port

Dhaka, Jan 15 (UNI) A consignment of 2,450 tons of rice imported from India has arrived in Bangladesh via Chuadanga's Darshana Land Port.
The rice, transported by rail, arrived at the Darshana port yard around 9pm on Tuesday in 42 wagons from India’s Gede Port, authorities said, the Daily Star reported on Wednesday.
Atiar Rahman Habu, general secretary of the C&F Agents Association at Darshana Port, said the rice has been imported by M/S Majumdar Agrotech International Limited of Dhaka's Purana Paltan.

Kabul, Dec 6 (UNI) Four Afghan civilians were killed and four others injured after Pakistani forces opened fire in the border town of Spin Boldak in southern Kandahar province, TOLO news reported on Saturday.
The exchange of fire reflects an escalation in violence between Pakistan and Afghanistan’s Taliban forces, with both sides accusing the other of violating a fragile ceasefire.
Residents of Spin Boldak, located along the 1,600-mile (2,600 km) border, fled overnight amid the exchange of fire, which reportedly began around 22:30 local time on Friday.
