French FM Jean Noël Barrot confirms latest pack of EU's anti-Russia sanctions coordinated with US

Paris, Sep 22 (UNI) French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot has confirmed that the EU's forthcoming extensive sanctions package against Russia has been coordinated with the US.
"The new large-scale package of sanctions has been coordinated with the US for the first time since Donald Trump returned to power," Barrot said, noting that the measures had been agreed jointly with Washington and are due to be formally adopted shortly, marking the first time since the US' return to the transatlantic alignment under the Trump administration, reports Russian state media TASS.
The package, unveiled by the European Commission on 19 September, is one of the most extensive rounds of sanctions imposed by the bloc since the start of the Russia – Ukraine war.
