Mexico to discuss trade tariffs with US next week in Washington

Mexico City, July 10 (UNI) Mexican officials will meet their U.S. counterparts in Washington next week to hold "the best possible negotiation" on the newly imposed Trump trade tariffs, President Claudia Sheinbaum said yesterday.

At her daily press conference, the president said a government delegation will travel to DC tomorrow to begin talks on several issues, as she had previously announced during a phone call with US President Donald Trump at the Group of Seven (G7) Summit in Canada in June.

China condemns US sanctions as "illegal and not supported by international law"

Beijing, May 11 (UNI) Beijing has strongly opposed unilateral sanctions by the United States targeting Chinese companies over alleged links to Iran, calling the measures "illegal and not supported by international law."
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Monday that China firmly rejects unilateral sanctions imposed by the US that are not authorized by the United Nations Security Council.
