Typhoon ‘Kalmaegi’ kills over 230 people in Philippines, leaving 125 missing

Moscow, Nov 14 (UNI/SPUTNIK) The death toll from Typhoon Kalmaegi in the Philippines has reached 232, while 523 people have been injured and 125 are missing, Philippine media reported.
Typhoon Kalmaegi struck the central Philippines last week.
In addition, 38,600 homes were completely destroyed, more than 214,700 buildings were damaged, and economic losses to agriculture and infrastructure amounted to more than USD 2.6 million and USD 8.2 million, respectively, the Philippine News Agency reported on Thursday, citing the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
