Trump briefed on military action in Iran amid massive crackdown on protesters

Washington, Jan 12 (UNI) US President Donald Trump has been briefed about the possible military options which the Pentagon could use against Iran, a senior govt official confirmed.
Trump claimed that the ruthless killing of protesters by the Islamic Republic had crossed his personal "red line," following the crackdown on Friday, warning that if Tehran continues "killing people like they have in the past, we would get involved."
"We'll be hitting them very hard where it hurts," he said, during an address at the White House, adding "and that doesn't mean boots on the ground, but it means hitting them very, very hard where it hurts".
