Maduro remains defiant; Accuses US of 'psychological terrorism' against Venezuela

Caracas/Washington, Dec 3 (UNI) Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro struck a defiant tone in Caracas as Washington intensified its warnings. Appearing before thousands of supporters outside the Miraflores Palace and insisting that 200,000 "well-armed" troops stood ready to repel any US intervention.
Maduro accused Washington of waging "psychological terrorism" and said Venezuela had withstood foreign pressure for "22 weeks," stating that US' whole "narco-terrorism" retaliation was little more than a ruse for an attempted regime-change, given Caracas's long-standing ties with Russia and China, as well as the country's vast oil reserves, reports La Nacion.
However, with Trump now openly threatening ground operations alongside ongoing maritime strikes, tensions between Washington and Caracas continue to deepen, leaving the path ahead uncertain as both sides brace for a potential escalation.
