Nine held after communal clash over festival subscription in Tripura

Agartala, Jan 11 (UNI) Nine people have been apprehended from Saidarpar village in Fatikroy of Tripura's Unakoti district in relation to allegations of inciting communal violence, which occurred on Saturday due to a disagreement over the collection of subscriptions for a local festival.
District Magistrate Tamal Mujumdar stated that the police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and the main suspect has been evading capture.
A temporary police presence has been established in the affected area, alongside increased security patrols.
