Nirbhay Wadhwa joins Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki as complex antagonist Sindhurasur

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) What struck me was how differently his story begins, not with power, but with pain, said actor Nirbhay Wadhwa, who steps into the role of Sindhurasur in Sony SAB’s mythological saga 'Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki, Ganesh Kartikey'.
Wadhwa, known for his commanding screen presence in mythological roles, said, "He isn’t just an asur; he is someone shaped by rejection, by never being wanted. That emotional foundation makes him far more complex than a typical antagonist."
Recalling his first day on set, the actor added, “I remember shooting my first scene, standing there in heavy armour, and the director whispered, ‘Feel the weight of everything he was denied.’ And suddenly, I understood him. Playing Sindhurasur is about carrying a lifetime of hurt that eventually explodes into terror.”
Wadhwa said the character is “one of the most layered” of his career and hopes viewers will resonate with the shift his entry brings to the story’s rhythm.
Sindhurasur’s entry marks a darker and more intense phase in the ongoing storyline as the show continues exploring the divine universe of the Shiv Parivaar, Lord Shiv, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh, and Lord Kartikey. The character is destined to marry Tulsi (Geet Jain) as part of a curse that binds their fates, bringing emotional depth and heightened drama to the narrative.
Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki, Ganesh Kartikey, airs Monday to Saturday at 8 PM on Sony SAB.
