Nitish demands ban on using mobile phone in House

Patna, Mar 20 (UNI) Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday suddenly got angry over the use of mobile phones on the floor of the House by the members of the state assembly and asked the Speaker to ban its use inside the house.
The question hour proceedings were in progress RJD MLA Krishna Kumar Mohan alias Sunday Yadav was asking his question while looking at his mobile during the pre- lunch sitting in the state assembly. Suddenly Kumar visibly angry over the use of mobile phones by the members strongly objected to it and demanded from the Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav to ban its use in the House.
He said mobile was already banned in the house and no one was allowed to carry it inside.

Odisha Assembly approves hike in salary, allowance & pension for legislators

Bhubaneswar, Dec 9 (UNI) The Odisha Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed four bills on the last day of the winter session to increase the salaries and allowances of the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Ministers, MLAs, and other office-bearers.
The pension for former MLAs has also been revised. The revised structure will take effect retrospectively from June 5, 2024.
