Nitish lays foundation for development projects of over Rs 522 Crore

Samastipur, July 15 (UNI) While laying the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 522.77 crore to strengthen road infrastructure and address long-standing water management issues, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today instructed the officials to ensure timely and proper execution of all projects.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said here that his government was consistently focusing on all-round development of various sectors including roads, bridges, schools and hospitals with an aim to improve essential infrastructure and public services.
Highlighting the importance of desiltation, he said that desilting of the Balan and Jamuari rivers would significantly benefit nearby villages as it would improve groundwater levels and curb seasonal flooding.
