No Salute Snub, No Scuffle: Army Labels Viral CDS-Army Chief Row Claim Fake

New Delhi, June 3 (UNI): A viral social media post claiming that Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi were involved in a seniority dispute, resulting in an altercation and resignation, has been exposed as fake and misleading.
The claim, circulated through a post attributed to a social media handle, alleged that General Dwivedi refused to salute the CDS on the grounds that the latter was his junior. It further claimed that a scuffle took place in the CDS office and that General Dwivedi subsequently tendered his resignation.
