Northern Commander reviews security along Amarnath Yatra route in South Kashmir

Srinagar, June 18 (UNI) Two weeks ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra, Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Thursday visited Pahalgam and Chandanwari to review the security situation and assess operational preparedness along the southern pilgrimage route.
The visit comes as security agencies intensify preparations for the annual pilgrimage, which attracts thousands of devotees from across the country. The Yatra will commence on July 3 and span 57 days, concluding on August 28.
In a post on X, Northern Command said Lt Gen Sharma reviewed the security situation and assess operational preparedness along the southern route.

Panchkula, July 21 (UNI) More than Rs 16,600 crore is lying in inoperative Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) accounts and in unclaimed policyholder funds and accrued income with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), prompting efforts to identify beneficiaries and facilitate settlement of money due to employees, former workers, policyholders and their eligible claimants.

Centre scales up metro push; Gurugram corridor
