Odisha: 21 prisoners during Emergency receive monthly pension of Rs 20,000 in first phase: CM

Bhubanewar, Mar 26 (UNI) About, twenty-one persons who were arrested under the MISA, DIR
and DISIR Acts during the Emergency from June 25 ,1975 to March 21,1977 have been given a monthly pension of Rs.20,000 from January, 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced
in the State Assembly on Wednesday.

BJP government retains 66 OBC communities for 7 pc reservation

Kolkata, May 20 (UNI) The newly formed BJP government in West Bengal on Wednesday, scrapped the existing sub-categorisation structure of Other Backward Classes (OBC) list linked to reservation in state government jobs and posts, and decided to retain 66 communities under the OBC category for seven per cent reservation.
