Odisha CM approves amendment to settlement rules, making land record corrections easier

Bhubaneswar, Nov 13 (UNI) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved an amendment to the Odisha Survey and Settlement Rules, aimed at simplifying the process of correcting land records and easing difficulties faced by land buyers and sellers.

However, if the buyer’s name is not recorded for any reason, the current process requires filing an appeal before the Board of Revenue or other competent Revision Courts, a procedure that often leads to long delays due to heavy workloads.
