Odisha:Excise SI, ASI suspended for allegedly assaulting youth during raid in Kendrapara

Kendrapara, June 11 (UNI) The Odisha Excise Department has suspended two officials of Pattamundai Excise Station for allegedly assaulting a youth and misusing their official authority during a raid in Kendrapara district.
Excise Commissioner P. Anvesha Reddy ordered the suspension of Station Officer-in-Charge (SI) Chhayakanta Nayak and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Pradip Kumar Malik after an inquiry found prima facie evidence of misconduct and violation of service conduct rules.
According to official sources, the suspension order was issued on June 8 and implemented after it reached the office of the Kendrapara Excise Superintendent on Wednesday. During the suspension period, both officials will remain attached to the office of the Deputy Excise Commissioner, Cuttack.
