Odisha Police launches statewide special drive to crack down on crime networks

Bhubaneswar, May 16 (UNI) In a sweeping five-day statewide enforcement campaign, Odisha Police launched an intensive “Special Drive” from May 12 to May 16 to crack down on crime and illegal activities across the state under the direction of Director General of Police (DGP) Y B Khurania.
The large-scale operation, carried out across all police ranges, focused on executing non-bailable warrants (NBWs), arresting absconding criminals, curbing narcotics trafficking, dismantling illegal arms and mining networks, checking cattle smuggling, and enforcing road safety measures, particularly against drunken driving.
The drive was directly supervised by Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) Sanjay Kumar, with active participation from police officers and personnel across Odisha.
