Odisha to drive growth through ‘Orange Economy’, says CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, May 11 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday said the state’s future prosperity lies in promoting the “Orange Economy” , a culture-based economic model powered by tourism, heritage, and spiritual development , to generate sustainable employment for local communities.
Addressing a gathering at Lord Lingaraj’s shrine in Ekamra Kshetra during the 75th anniversary celebration of the restoration of the Somnath Temple, Majhi reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening Odisha’s cultural and spiritual identity through major heritage-focused investments.
He announced that the state government is investing Rs 330 crore for the development of Ekamra Kshetra and Rs 1,000 crore for key cultural projects, including the Shree Jagannath Museum, aimed at positioning Odisha as India’s cultural capital.

Congress asks Bihar govt to release pending salaries and pensions of University employees
