Op Sindhu: Another flight arrives from Iran bringing 285 Indian nationals

New Delhi, June 23 (UNI) India’s evacuation efforts under Operation Sindhu to bring back its nationals from conflict-hit Iran continued, with a second flight landing late on Sunday night, with 285 Indian nationals on board. With this, 1,713 Indian nationals have been brought home from Iran.
The MEA spokesperson said in a post on X that Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita was at the airport to receive the Indian nationals who arrived from Mashhad.
“India’s evacuation efforts continue under #OperationSindhu.”
MoS Shri @PmargheritaBJP received 285 Indian nationals evacuated on a special flight from Mashhad that landed in New Delhi at 2330 hrs on 22 June.
“With this, 1,713 Indian nationals have now been brought home from Iran.”
Earlier in the evening, a special flight arrived from Iran, bringing 311 Indian nationals.
The MEA spokesperson said in a post on X:
“Operation Sindhu continues.
“311 Indian nationals arrived in New Delhi on a special flight from Mashhad at 1630 hrs on 22nd June.
“1428 Indian nationals have now been evacuated from Iran.”
On Saturday night, a flight had arrived bringing 290 Indian nationals back from Mashhad in Iran.
India has launched Operation Sindhu to bring back its nationals from Iran and Israel amid the escalating war situation between the two nations.

Centre approve Rs 1,066 cr to six flood, landslides affected states

New Delhi, July 10 (UNI) The Central Government today approved the release of Rs 1,066.80 crore to flood and landslides affected states of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, Uttarakhand.

Among the six flood affected states, Assam received Rs 375.60 crore, Rs 29.20 crore was given to Manipur, Rs 30.40 crore to Meghalaya, Rs 22.80 crore to Mizoram, Rs 153.20 crore to Kerala and Rs 455.60 crore to Uttarakhand, as Central share from State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), a Home Ministry statement said.
