Operation Tiger row: Patole says BJP’s hunger for power has crossed all limits

Nagpur, Jun 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the BJP amid speculation over the alleged "Operation Tiger" in the state, accusing the ruling party of pursuing power at any cost through attempts to poach opposition legislators.
Addressing reporters here, Patole alleged that efforts were being made to entice elected representatives from opposition parties, describing such moves as an insult to the mandate given by the people.
Taking a swipe at the reported political exercise, he termed it "Operation Jackal" and claimed that attempts to engineer defections were eroding democratic values and weakening constitutional institutions.
