Organised campaign against K.C. Venugopal: KPCC leader demands probe

Thiruvananthapuram, May 14 (UNI) KPCC General Secretary and newly-elected MLA Pazhakulam Madhu has called for a party-level investigation into what he described as a “systematic and organised campaign” against AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K. C. Venugopal, alleging that false propaganda and coordinated attacks were used to discredit the senior leader.
Madhu alleged that Venugopal was “cruelly targeted” and deliberately projected as a “hated figure” through a sustained campaign, including on social media platforms.
He said the campaign amounted to an attempt to defame a leader with long-standing contributions to the party organisation. His remarks come in the backdrop of internal discussions within the Congress culminating in the selection of V. D. Satheesan as the Chief Minister of Kerala.
