Over 200 cases of Japanese Encephalitis reported in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 10 (UNI) Meghalaya has reported over 200 cases of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in the past two years, State Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh told the assembly today.

Replying to queries asked by opposition Trinamool Congress (TMC) legislator Miani Dalbot Shira during the Question Hour, Lyngdoh said 89 cases were detected in 2023-2024 and 147 cases in 2024-2025.
