Pahalgam: CM Fadnavis announces 50 lakh financial assistance each to Maha victims' families

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today announced financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh for the families of each victim from Maharashtra who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack.

The decision was taken during a state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Fadnavis.

The Chief Minister said that the government will also be taking care of the education and employment needs of these families.
In the cabinet meeting, it was decided to provide a government job to the daughter of deceased Santosh Jagdale.
Six of the tourists who died in the Pahalgam terrorist attack were from Maharashtra.
Fadnavis recently met all the families of the deceased and extended support to them.
The six dead tourists from Maharashtra are- Hemant Satish Joshi, Thane, Atul Shrikant Mone- Mumbai, Sanjay Laxman Lele - Thane, Dilip Desale, Panvel, Santosh Jagdale and Kaustubh Ganbote from Pune.

Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) The Congress here today officially announced that it has expelled two of its Legislative Council (Vidhan Parishad) candidates who withdrew their candidatures leading to a situation where ruling Mahayuti candidates managed to win unopposed.
Congress candidates Sahebrao Kamble, who was supposed to contest from the Yavatmal constituency, and Shailesh Agarwal, who was fielded from the Chandrapur constituency, withdrew their candidatures without notifying the Maharashtra Congress leadership, which led to their expulsion from the party.
