Parmeshwara defends Cong stand on Pahalgam attack

Bengaluru, Apr 29 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister G Parmeshwara on Tuesday defended the Congress party in the wake of criticism over statements made by its leaders on the recent Pahalgam terror attack, asserting that no other party had contributed more to national security than the Congress.
“The sacrifice made by Congress for the nation's security is immense. No one else has made the kind of sacrifices for national security than the Congress has,” Parmeshwara told reporters here.
Rejecting accusations of the party taking a lenient stance on the Pahalgam incident, he said, “We don’t need to be taught lessons about this by others. We have not taken a soft stand. Our leaders have already expressed their views in the all-party meeting.”
