Perry’s six seals thrilling win for Aus Women over India

Visakhapatnam, Oct 12 (UNI) Ellyse Perry’s unbeaten 47, capped with a dramatic six in the final over, powered Australia Women to a thrilling three-wicket victory over India Women in the 13th league match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium here today.
Chasing India’s formidable 330, Australia reached 331 for seven in 49 overs, extending their unbeaten run in the tournament. The match came down to the wire, with Perry finishing the game in style, lofting Sneh Rana’s full toss straight over long-on to seal the win.
Earlier, Alyssa Healy played a masterclass, scoring 142 off 107 balls, featuring 21 fours and 3 sixes. She was well supported by Ashleigh Gardner (45 off 46) and Kim Garth (14 not out). Phoebe Litchfield also contributed a quick 40 off 39, keeping Australia in the hunt amid a tense chase.
