LOS ANGELES, Jan. 14, 2025 (UNI/Xinhua) -- Local residents leave the wildfire-ravaged areas in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles County, California, the United States, on Jan. 13, 2025. Los Angeles police authorities have made 34 arrests in wildfire-ravaged areas, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said Monday. Those arrests were related to burglary, looting, illegal drone operations, people entering restricted areas with guns and narcotics, and curfew violations, Luna said. A night-time curfew between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. is in place across the disaster zones around Pacific Palisades and Altadena, areas worst hit by the fires. California Governor Gavin Newsom has deployed an additional 1,000 members of the California National Guard to Los Angeles on Sunday, bringing the total number of CalGuard service members in the region to about 2,500, according to the governor's office.
