PM's Principal Secy PK Mishra highlights IIT Dhanbad's role in vision for 2047

New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Principal Secretary Dr PK Mishra delivered the inaugural address at the centenary foundation week of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, underscoring the institution's pivotal role in India's journey towards a developed nation by 2047.
Paying tribute to the institute's 100-year legacy, Dr Mishra lauded IIT Dhanbad's contributions in mining, energy, earth sciences, and applied engineering.
"IIT Dhanbad has been a pioneer in mining education in Asia and has consistently provided expertise to national institutions like Coal India, ONGC, GSI, CMPDI, and NTPC," he noted. He emphasized that the centenary is a reminder of how sustained commitment to knowledge can generate positive social outcomes.

Delhi: action continues on encroachments, illegal constructions
