PMLA Court Orders Return of ₹8.41 Crore Worth of Properties to Victims in Ajmera Group Money Laundering Case

New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) A Special PMLA Court has ordered the restitution of properties worth ₹8.41 crore to the victims of money laundering and other rightful claimants in the case involving the Ajmera Group and others, which is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The ED initiated its investigation based on multiple FIRs registered against the Managing Director, directors and associates of the Bengaluru-based Ajmera Group under various sections of the IPC. The FIRs alleged that the entity collected investments from the public by promising high returns, but later cheated investors by neither paying the promised profits nor returning the principal amounts invested.
The ED's investigation revealed that large sums of money were siphoned off to the bank accounts of directors and other related individuals of the Ajmera Group and were subsequently used to purchase various properties in their names.
