Prayagraj Kumbh not a place for politics: Akhilesh

Prayagraj, Jan 22 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday raised questions over Yogi Adityanath government holding a cabinet meeting in Prayagraj and said that Kumbh and Prayagraj are not the place for doing politics and taking political decisions.
Talking to media after paying floral tribute to the statue of former Union Minister Janeshwar Mishra on his death anniversary at Janeshwar Mishra Park in Gomti Nagar, Akhilesh said, "Holding a cabinet meeting at Kumbh is politically motivated. Kumbh and bathing in Maa Ganga is a matter of faith. Many socialist people come to take bath during Kumbh with full heart and faith."
He said that SP will win by-elections for the Milkipur assembly seat in Ayodhya. "People of Milkipur know that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to cheat in elections. BJP has put police forward. DM, SP and other officers are working on the instructions of Lucknow. People are saying that if fair elections are held, SP will have a historic victory," he said.
