Pre-plenary meeting held ahead of tomorrow’s North Eastern Council session; Amit Shah to chair meeting

Shillong, Jun 3 (UNI) Ahead of the 73rd Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC), a Pre-Plenary meting was held on Wednesday at the State Convention Centre here in Meghalaya, bringing together senior officials from the central government of India and all eight North Eastern States.
Union Home Minister and NEC Chairman Amit Shah will chair the meeting which will discuss and deliberate on progress made by the CM high-level Task Forces constituted for critical sectors of regional development.
The session will be attended by union minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and vice chairman, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, minister of state for DoNER, Sukanta Majumdar, governors and chief ministers of the eight North Eastern States.
