Pregnant woman pushed off moving train suffers miscarriage, Stalin announces solatium

Chennai, Feb 9 (UNI) The four-month pregnant woman passenger, who was pushed out off a running Express train after resisting a sexual assault bid by a drunkard inside the Ladies compartment has suffered a miscarriage, even as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin expressed deep shock over the incident and announced a solatium of Rs three lakhs to her and that her full medical expenses would be borne by the State government.
In a statement here on Sunday, he said on February 6, the culprit, Hemaraj, had boarded the Coimbatore-Tirupati Intercity Express train at the Jolarpettai Railway station and entered the Ladies compartment where the woman was the lone passenger.
