Punjab AAP MLA arrested in 2013 assault case

Chandigarh, Sep 10 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura from Khadoor Sahib has been arrested by Punjab Police after a Tarn Taran district court convicted him, along with 11 others, in a 2013 assault and molestation case.
The court is scheduled to pronounce the sentencing for the convicts on September 12.
The police have arrested the MLA and six other convicts, while three others remain at large. One of the accused has passed away, and another is already incarcerated in Tihar Jail.
