Punjab: Woman arrested for rape, conspiracy

Phagwara, Jun 13 (UNI) The Nakodar sadar police in Punjab have arrested a woman on the charge of rape and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj stated that the accused has been identified as Parmindar Kaur,alias Manidar Kaur of Sultan wind road, Amritsar, who had conspired with her relative Prince Singh, of Amritsar, in committing the crime.

NIA court sentences key accused in Pakistan Taliban linked terror radicalisation case to seven yrs RI

New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has convicted and sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) a key accused in a terror radicalisation and recruitment case linked with the proscribed Taliban and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist organisations.
The NIA special court in Bengaluru, Karnataka, has also imposed a fine of Rs.63,000 on Maharashtra resident Hamraz Worshid Shaikh, who pleaded guilty during the trial that began in April 2026.
