Rajnath highlights India’s progress towards Aatmanirbhar in defence sector, urges youth to build unicorn start-ups

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today emphasized that India’s journey toward self-reliance in Defence sector has moved beyond mere policies and declarations to tangible action, significant impact and global recognition.
Speaking at the Conference on Opportunities of Defence Manufacturing in the Country, Rajnath Singh highlighted the progress of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, stating “The journey of Aatmanirbhar Bharat has progressed from policy to practice, and from innovation to impact”.
Refering to young entrepreneurs and innovators, the Minister acknowledged their crucial role in this journey so far and expressed confidence that they will continue to drive the sector forward with the same zeal and dedication.

Kejriwal questions Centre over economic appeals, seeks transparency on country’s financial condition

New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday questioned the Centre over recent public appeals made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking citizens to reduce fuel consumption, limit foreign travel, avoid foreign goods and cut down on purchases of gold, saying such measures indicate concern over the country’s economic condition.
Addressing a press conference along with Saurabh Bharadwaj, the AAP chief said the government should disclose the actual state of the economy and explain why such appeals are being made.
