Ranchi–Chakradharpur Railway parliamentary meeting held

Ranchi, Jan 22,(UNI) The parliamentary meeting of the Ranchi and Chakradharpur Railway Divisions was held in Ranchi, chaired by union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth. The Minister reviewed railway development works and directed officials to strengthen women passengers’ safety, including deployment of women police on the Ranchi–Lohardaga Passenger train.
He instructed officials to send proposals for Holi special trains, a Ranchi–Muri shuttle, and new train services to major cities. Emphasis was laid on station redevelopment with protection of religious sites through dialogue with local committees.
Key directions included inclusion of nearby stations under Ranchi Division, early execution of the Silli–Ilu bypass rail line, construction of Atal Vendor Markets for displaced shopkeepers, new foot overbridges, road underbridges, improved station connectivity, and development of a large railway pond near Chandil for tourism.
