Renault cuts car prices by up to Rs 96,000

New Delhi, Sept 6 (UNI) Renault India today announced a sharp price cut across its multiple product range, passing on the full benefit of GST reforms to car buyers.
Earlier this week, the 56th GST Council approved rate cuts on small cars and motorcycles equal to less than 350 cubic capacity (CC).
A uniform rate of 18pc has been approved on all auto parts irrespective of their Harmonized System (HS) code and a rate cut on three-wheelers.
These cuts by the auto sector led to price reduction of popular Renault models, including Triber, Kiger, and KWID.
Revised prices will be effective on all deliveries made on or after September 22, 2025, coinciding with the first day of Navratri.
Venkatram Mamillapalle, Managing Director of Renault India, said, “Passing on the full GST 2.0 benefit is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to our customers. We believe this timely initiative will not only make our cars more accessible but also energize demand during the festive season.”
With the revision, the KWID hatchback now starts at Rs 4.29 lakh.
For budget-conscious buyers, cuts are also in RXL MT, RXL AMT, Climber AMT, Climber DT and other variants, making the small car an even stronger contender in the entry-level market.
The family-friendly Triber has also seen a sizeable correction, with its price lowered by a great margin.
The base variant now costs Rs 5.76 lakh, while the top-end Emotion AMT DT is cheaper and also becomes affordable, positioning the Triber as one of the most affordable MPVs in the country.
The biggest savings are on the Kiger, Renault’s compact SUV, where massive reductions are made of variants including Authentic MT, Emotion DT MT, and others.
Customers opting for the high-spec turbo-petrol CVT models will benefit the most, with the Emotion CVT witnessing massive price cuts.
Even mid-level variants such as the Techno MT and Techno AMT have become cheaper , making the Kiger highly competitive against rivals in the crowded compact SUV segment.
Renault India is the Indian subsidiary of French automaker Renault.
