Rijiju slams Opposition for disruptions, says protest can't snatch MPs' rights

New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju today slammed the Opposition parties for continuing to disrupt Parliament, asserting that while protest is a democratic right, it must not infringe on the rights of other MPs to voice their constituents' concerns.
Talking to the media, Rijiju said, “The Opposition parties protested yesterday. We acknowledge that every Indian has the right to protest on any issue. But they do not have the right to snatch away the rights of other MPs in the House.”
He accused the Opposition of creating a “ruckus” since the beginning of the Monsoon Session, by obstructing the proceedings of both the Houses. “Other MPs, who have been elected from across the country, also have a duty to speak up for the people they represent,” he added.
