Rs 1 lakh bounty criminal killed in Lucknow police encounter

Lucknow, Oct 12 (UNI) A dangerous criminal, Gurusevak, carrying a Rs 1 lakh bounty and wanted for the murder of an Unnao driver in Sitapur, was shot dead by Lucknow Police in a late-night encounter today.
The incident occurred near the service lane at Zero Point on the Agra Expressway. Gurusevak had been evading arrest since the murder of the victim, Yogesh Pal.
Acting on a tip-off during routine checking, police located him in the Para police station area. When officers attempted to apprehend him, Gurusevak opened fire, prompting police to retaliate. He was shot during the exchange and declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
