Samson draws inspiration from Dravid's leadership ahead of IPL 2025

Jaipur, Mar 13 (UNI) Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson has revealed that he is modelling his captaincy style on head coach Rahul Dravid’s leadership approach ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
Dravid, who captained Rajasthan Royals during Samson’s debut IPL season in 2013, played a crucial role in shaping the young wicketkeeper-batsman’s career. That year, Samson emerged as a promising talent, earning the Emerging Player of the League award after scoring 206 runs in 10 innings.
Samson recalled a conversation with Dravid that reinforced his leadership mindset. "When he came back, he asked me, 'Sanju, what do you stand for in this franchise?' and I told him, 'Sir, it's very easy, I just continued from where you left.’”
