Sanjay Raut slams Central Government, Election Commission Commission, BJP, Backs Mamata Banerjee Amid Bengal Row

Mumbai, May 6 (UNI) Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut launched a sharp attack on the Election Commission and the ruling BJP while reacting to the recent election results, especially in West Bengal. He alleged that democratic institutions were being misused and claimed that the Election Commission had become a slave of the ruling party.
Talking to mediapersons on Wednesday, Raut said opposition parties may soon have to rethink whether participating in elections under the current system is meaningful. He called for all opposition parties to unite to “save democracy” and appealed even to leaders within the ruling alliance who, according to him, are "uncomfortable with the current political situation".
Backing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Raut said her refusal to resign was part of a larger democratic protest. He stated that the INDIA alliance, including leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Uddhav Thackeray, stood firmly with her in the ongoing political battle.
