Satish Poonia, Alka Gurjar & Neeraj Dangi elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan

Jaipur, June 11 (UNI) The ruling BJP nominees Dr Satish Poonia and Dr Alka Gurjar and Neeraj Dangi of the Congress were today declared elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.
The biennial elections were being held for filling 3 Upper House seats from Rajasthan, polling for which was scheduled on June 18, 2926.
However, the trio of Poonia and Gurjar (BJP) and Dangi (Cong) were the only contestants who filed nominations for as many seats. Their nominations were found valid and in order during scrutiny on June 9, the deadline for withdrawal was until today, Thursday.

Haryana to replace fresh water with treated wastewater in thermal power plants, industries

Chandigarh, Jul 21(UNI) In a major policy shift aimed at tackling Haryana's growing water stress, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has ordered that treated wastewater be supplied to thermal power plants and industrial units, replacing the use of fresh water and conserving precious groundwater and drinking water resources.
