Sattar Grumbles Against BJP Despite Shinde Urging Him To Follow Coalition Ideals

Mumbai, June 3 (UNI) A defiant Abdul Sattar, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena leader who complained against the BJP's moves to cut its junior ally down to size on Tuesday, spoke against the BJP again on Wednesday despite Deputy CM Eknath Shinde having instructed him that he must follow the Mahayuti coalition 'dharma' and refrain from speaking out openly against the BJP.
Significantly, sources also said that Deputy CM Eknath Shinde chose to skip the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday morning, indicating that probably all may not be well in the Mahayuti ruling alliance.
After Shinde instructed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar leader of his party Sattar not to criticise the BJP openly, the latter said here on Wednesday, “We had a detailed discussion with Eknath Shinde regarding the kind of obstacles faced by junior allies of the BJP. This should end. We have six MLAs and one MP in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The BJP had only three MLAs. However, we gave them (BJP) the upper hand in power because we follow the ideals of the Mahayuti coalition government”.

Maulana surrenders before Nagpur police in conversion, rape case; Police to seek custody

Nagpur, Jun 18 (UNI) A Maulana accused of facilitating the alleged forced conversion and rape of a 24-year-old woman surrendered before Nagpur Police late Wednesday night after remaining absconding for several days, police said on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Hazrat, a resident of Tamia in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district, appeared at Sonegaon police station and surrendered, a senior police official said.
According to police, multiple teams had been deployed to trace him, with officers camping in Tamia for the past several days.
